Gov Bello Extols APC Chieftain, Chief Tayo Sowunmi @ 80 »

Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has described former National Vice Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Tayo Sowunmi as a consummate nationalist, and a role model worthy of emulation.

He spoke through his Deputy, Chief (Dr.) Edward Onoja at the celebrant’s 80th birthday celebration culminating in the Book Launch of his autobiography: “Footprints of Rebel” which held at the Adebutu Kessington Legacy Hall, Abeokuta, Ogun State, on Saturday.

Former President, HE, Olusegun Obasanjo, representative of the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, captains of industry, traditional chiefs, and other esteemed guests graced the auspicious event.

The delegation led by Chief Onoja comprised; the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Mrs. Folashade Arike Ayoade, Commissioner for Information and Communications, Hon. Kingsley Fanwo, and other government functionaries.

Chief Onoja said Governor Bello joins other members and leaders of the governing Party to celebrate with the stalwart, praying God to grant him more years in health, sound mind, and wisdom of the Almighty God.

“As you turn an octogenarian, your book reveals much more about your undaunted exploits as a Student Activist, Union Leader, and seasoned politician spanning over 6 decades of mentorship to young leaders. 80 looks good on you baba,” he said.
