Gov. Bello Inaugurates APC State Campaign Council »

Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has inaugurated the campaign council of the state’s Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Announcing the names of the council members in Lokoja today, the Kogi State Chairman of APC, Mr. Abdullahi Bello, charged them to deliver the state for the APC.

Abdullahi noted that the names were carefully selected based on their track records in their respective local governments, zone, wards and polling units.

Speaking at the inauguration of the council, Governor Yahaya Bello, who is also the chairman of the committees enjoined the council and the committees to set the stage for electoral victory for all the APC candidates in the election.

He said: “ This is the second campaign council that I would inaugurate as governor of Kogi state, and as usual, we have assembled men and women of great value who deliver even more than we did in previous elections. I want to charge the council to deploy massively to deliver Kogi state to the APC at the presidential, national and state assembly elections.”

He explained that with the calibre of persons vying for elective offices on the platform of the party victory is sure.

He said candidates should take cue from the personalities of the APC presidential candidate Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate Kashim Shettima to market themselves effectively to electorates.

He maintained that the New Direction administration under his leadership has delivered dividends of democracy to the people with visible, people-centered projects scattered across the state, stressing that people are more than ready to vote massively for the All Progressives Congress based on the governments achievements.

The governor further stressed that judging from the failure of PDP in the area of security, infrastructure, employment and unity when it held sway in the state, victory for the APC has been made easier this time around.

He cautioned against anti-party activities, noting that party members, executives who have benefited from the party and system shouldn’t betray by thinking that they could support candidates in other political parties, stressing that the system is wired to detect such persons and would deal with them according to the rules.

In his acceptance speech, the Director General of the Campaign Council, Pharmacist Abdulkareem Asuku, assured the party that he would deploy his wealth of experience to ensure that the party emerged victorious.

He solicited the support of all the council members to achieve the desire goals.

Delivering his vote of thanks, the dDeputy Governor of Kogi State who is also the Deputy Chairman of the state campaign council appreciated governor Bello for making the campaign easy for them through his giant strides in the state. He urged members to propagate the achievements of the APC in Kogi state which he said were more than adequate to secure the peoples full support.
