Gov. Bello inspects gully sites, assures of govt. prompt attention
Kogi Governor, Yahaya Bello on Thursday inspected gully sites within Lokoja metropolis while he promised that his administration would give prompt attention and offer palliative measures before the raining season.
The Governor also re opened the newly rehabilitated SUBEB road which has been closed for five months due to gully erosion.
Governor Bello affirmed that the State would work within its capacity to repair some of the gully sites while he called on the Federal Government, NEWMAP and other agencies to come to the aide of the State
He mentioned that as promised, his government was poised towards delivering quality infrastructural boost to the people of the state noting that such effort would be duplicated in other Local Government Areas.
Governor Bello assured that his administration was committed to improving the aesthetics of Lokoja, making it a befitting state capital of the Confluence State.
He pointed out that efforts would also be made towards sensitizing the people against dumping refuse inside water ways.
At the location of newly rehabilitated SUBEB road the Governor commended the commissioner for Works and Housing, Eng. Abubakar Ohere for the swift action in putting the road to a good shape despite meager resources.
Governor Bello stated that his administration has ensured that it placed square pegs in square holes so as to facilitate quality service delivery to the people of the State.
