Gov. Bello's Inclusive Leadership Style Accounted For Our Rancour Free Party Primaries

The Kogi State All Progressives Congress Chairman, Hon. Abdullahi Bello says the leadership style of Gov. Yahaya Bello was reason for the rancour free Party Primaries achieved by the party in the State at the weekend.

The State APC Chairman made the disclosure in a chat with Newsmen, thanked God for the rancour free party Primaries held in the state to elect Chairmanship and Councillorship Candidates of the party ahead the forthcoming December 12 Council Polls.

Hon. Abdullahi Bello described Gov. Bello as a man who believes that the APC in the state is one big family, says as a true democrat, and having consulted widely with all stakeholders, the Governor and the party agreed for the consensus option that was adopted by the party.

The Chairman added that Gov. Yahaya Bello is a leader who listens to everyone irrespective of position in the party before arriving at a decision, says he is a leader who consults widely, an attribute that has helped minimised crisis in the party.

He says the product of the Governor’s wide consultation with the APC stakeholders who all opted for a consensus approach, was responsible for the peaceful party primaries held in the state, thanked God that the APC came out more united and stronger after the primaries.

On the chances of the APC in the forthcoming Council Polls, Hon. Abdullahi Bello says the party would win all the seats, insisting that even in an election conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission, the APC won all the House of Assembly Seats, says it is normal in politics for the opposition to make loud noise, even when it is a known fact that they do not have any structure that can win election in the State.

According to Hon. Abdullahi Bello, ,” It is politics for the opposition to make noise. The only right the opposition have which cannot be taken away from them is noise making. We’re not saying this because Council Polls is a state government election. APC won all the seats in the State Assemby even when the election was conducted by the INEC.”

The State Chairman stressed unity of purpose as exemplified by Gov. Yahaya Bello’s leadership as the staying power of APC in the state, pointed out that the Governor had built a formidable and United party that would always and continue to win election in the state.

He added that the APC remains the party to beat owing to the fairness, justice, equity and equal opportunities the Governor has given to members of the party, reason why the party remains in harmony and has to a large extend no form of crisis after the primaries.

Hon. Abdullahi Bello commended Gov. Bello in his efforts at the just concluded Ondo State Governoship Election, described him as a party man to the core whose sense of mobilization and commitment made the Ondo State Election to be won seamlessly by Gov. Rotimi Akeredolu.

He disclosed that just like in 2016, the Ondo State Governoship Election has once again justified that the APC is the party on the ground with the efforts of Gov. Bello, who mobilized kogi indigenes and others living in Ondo State to vote for the APC.

The State Chairman ascribed his leadership success in the State APC since coming on board to his ability to work with former and present leaders of the party, says under the leadership of Gov. Yahaya Bello, whom he disclosed believes in unity, togetherness as panacea to having a one big, strong and united Party, the APC would continue to be the envy of all and would go ahead to clear all seats in the forthcoming Local Government Election in December.
