Governor Bello flags off 40km, 10km roads in Kabba
Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has flagged off for construction the 10km Kabba-Ottu-Okedayo and 40km Kabba – Oke Ofun – Ayede – Iluke roads.
The Flaging off ceremony held on Saturday in kabba as the Governor was accompanied by his colleague from Jigawa, Alhaji Muhammadu Abubakar Badaru, the Obaro of Kabba, Oba Solomon Owoniyi, the Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Honourable Mathew Kolawole and other top government officials.
Governor Bello before cutting the tape assured that work would commence immediately on the projects and would be completed in quick time to ensure that the people benefitted from such dividends
He pointed out that his government has often remained keen on infrastructural development knowing full well that socio economic development would be limited without available infrastructure particularly good road network.
The governor congratulated the traditional ruler Oba Solomon Owoniyi and the good of the area for being beneficiaries of such developmental stride.
Speaker Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Honourable Mathew Kolawole who spoke on behalf of the people thanked the State government for putting the people of Kabba in consideration to host the projects.
He pointed out that the 40km road would benefit over 14 rural communities while the 10km road would give about 10 commutes access to good roads.
Honourable Kolawole mentioned that when completed the roads would no doubt boast socio economic activities within the area and ease movement of goods and persons from within rural to urban settlements.
