Governor Bello receives honour from alma mater, urge alumni members to give back to institution
Kogi State Governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello has been honoured by the Ahmadu Bello University as one of the institution’s distinguished alumnus appointed/elected into key National or international position.
The event held on Thursday at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja and was well attended by members of the institution’s Alumni.
The Governor who was represented at the event by the Senator representing Kogi Central, Alhaji Yakubu Oseni urged alumni members not to relent in giving back to the institution.
Governor Bello also noted that Ahmadu Bello University remained one of the premier universities in the country that has consistently distinguished itself as a true citadel of learning.
He also commended the Alumni Association for staying true to the ideals of the institution which he said has been reflected in the quality of leadership it has produced both home and abroad.
The honorary award was given to Alhaji Yahaya Bello, as an alumnus of the institution who is the Youngest governor in the country and owing to his charismatic leadership in steering the affairs of the confluence state.
The Institution also congratulated the Governor on his reelection in the recently concluded polls while they assured him of their unflinching support .
