Many believed since they are advanced in age,
then they are the best to lead. It is only those in spiritual realms that could know that older age do not essentially make one superlative in leadership. Leading indeed is that enigmatic ability that enables one to turn a vision into a reality. It permeates values, approach and actions.

Today, Kogi state transformation is happening under his administration after several years of maladministration by previous government. He brought finesse and a heart of love to governance, thereby demystifying politics and proving that one can be a cerebral governor and yet be simple as well as approachable.

Governor Bello has demonstrated the capacity to lead without ethnic bias and nepotism judging from the style he has adopted since emerging Kogi state governor in 2015. One peculiar quality in his style of leadership, which Nigeria will really need as a tonic to heal her wounds, has been his ability to handle security challenges and relate with every ethnic group without favouritism and bias.

In GYB is the trust of the Youth O’clock fervency and the call for effective, efficient and effectual youth participation in leadership. In him is the manifestation of competency and capacity over deceit and perfidy and he has proven beyond every reasonable doubt he is an exemplary role model to the younger generation in this country.

In today’s Kogi where Bello rules, his cabinet is probably the only one across the 36 states where at least one or two members from almost every group are given equal opportunity to serve and relate with the governor. His style of governance in Kogi does not justify such sentiment. It’s obvious his the kind of leader Nigerians need to be committed in such hands after the expiration of President Buhari’s tenure in 2023.

Another outstanding attributes of His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello, is his unreserved regards for gender equality, which he has since demonstrated in his government by giving women equal chance to prove their capacity to contribute to good governance like men in Kogi State, no doubt such will be replicated if giving a chance by Nigerians.

Nigerians across board; youth, women, leaders and followers has seen his leadership style, building bridges, uniting the people, bringing in experts, adding value to governance, prudent and sincere way and manner of utilisation of resources and getting the results, balancing the equation, which is most desired in the country today.
