Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has picked his APC nomination for November 16 governorship poll in the state and assured the people of improved governance if elected.

He gave the assurance on Wednesday at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja in an address shortly after collecting the nomination and expression of interest forms.

The Governor is the first aspirant to pick the forms following announcement of sales by the party.

Governor Bello who gave himself a pass mark in his first tenure said he has performed creditably, hence the people would be more proud because he is ready to ensure he addressed all developmental challenges being left to be addressed.

In his words; “I honoured my stewardship within the three and half years, and we are going to seek the audience of Mr President to come and commission the projects we have done in the state. By the time you escort Mr President to the state, you will be proud to have me as governor.”

The Governor said the current APC in Kogi State is united because of his efforts by reaching out to all hitherto aggrieved party members which has brought about amicable resolution of grey areas between the factions.

The Governor who called on the leadership of the party to allow other aspirants to pick their forms because the party was getting bigger, assured that there is now a fertile ground to contain all members of the party’s family.

He was however quick to disbursed the minds of some segments of the public by saying there would be no court issues that would hamper the chances of the APC in the state by saying; “The issue of any court case is completely dead. The Haddy Ametuo leadership has withdrawn the case. He is here.,”
