Hon Ali Bello Describes Gov Ododo’s Tribunal Victory as Divine
Chief of Staff to the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ali Bello has congratulated his boss, governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, on his victory at the governorship election petition tribunal, saying the victory is “divine”.
In a unanimous judgment, the three-member tribunal led by Justice Ado Birnin-Kudu held that the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and its governorship candidate, Murtala Ajaka failed to prove their allegations against the respondents. Birnin-Kudu said the election was conducted in substantial compliance with the Electoral Act.
In a statement shortly after the virdict on Monday, Mr Bello described the verdict of the Appeal Court as a triumph of the wishes of the people of the State. He said Governor Usman Ododo won November 11 Governorship election, noting that the judgment was an affirmation of the mandate Kogites gave to the Governor at the polls.
Mr. Bello applauded the judiciary for their unwavering commitment to always remain on the side of justice.
The Chief of Staff urged all kogites to continue to support the Ododo led administration to build a stronger, united and more prosperous Kogi state.
