Hon Fanwo Lauds Gov Ododo’s Power Intervention for Better Broadcasting

The Commissioner for Information and Communications, Evangelis Kingsley Fanwo has lauded Governor Ahmed Ododo’s intervention in ensuring adequate power supply to Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation FM 94.

Hon Fanwo made the commendation at FM 94 Broadcasting Station, Lokoja while inspecting the hybrid power which comprises of solar power and the installation of the 33 KVA transformer to link up the line for daily 24 hours power supply.

Speaking further,Hon Fanwo declared that the Governor,in less than 100 days, was already steering the massive revolution in the broadcasting industry,appreciating him for the impressive achievement.

“We really appreciate this intervention because we are able to increase the broadcasting hours and I assure him that the Ministry of Information and Communications will live up to expectations,” Hon Fanwo said.

Hon Fanwo,accompanied by the Permanent Secretary Mr Teddy Adegbola,the DG Alhaji Oyila Ozovehe and some Directors appreciated the Commissioner for Rural Development for assuring that the transformer will be connected in a matter of days adding that broadcasting programs will be improved and the good people of Kogi State will start to enjoy the state-of-the-art transmitters procurred by the immediate former governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello.

He assured Gov Ododo of quality broadcasting, appealing for remodelling of the FM 94 and Graphic Newspaper structures, commending
him for permanently solving the power issue.

While fielding questions from journalists,Hon Fanwo maintained that KOGAS was established to bridge communication gaps between the people and political office holders adding that the radio program,”The State of Kogi” was established to keep the citizenry abreast of goverment policies and programs and hold political office holders accountable commending the Hon Commissioners for Health,Rural Development and Environment for excellent performances.
