Hon. Monday Anyebe Felicitates Governor Ododo, President Tinubu, Nigerians on Democracy Day
The Kogi State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Honourable Aridaojo Monday Anyebe, has extended warm felicitations to the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and all Nigerians on the occasion of the 2026 Democracy Day celebration.
In a statement issued on Thursday to commemorate June 12, the Commissioner described Democracy Day as a significant milestone in Nigeria’s democratic journey and a reminder of the sacrifices made by patriotic citizens in the struggle for democratic governance.
Hon. Anyebe commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his commitment to inclusive governance, youth empowerment, and sustainable development in Kogi State, noting that the administration has continued to inspire confidence among young people through impactful policies and programmes.
He also praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his dedication to strengthening democratic institutions and advancing national development, urging Nigerians to remain steadfast in supporting initiatives that promote peace, unity, and progress.
The Commissioner called on the youth to embrace democratic values, participate actively in nation-building, and shun all forms of violence and activities capable of undermining the country’s stability.
According to him, young people remain critical stakeholders in Nigeria’s democratic process and must continue to demonstrate patriotism, responsibility, and commitment to good governance.
“As we celebrate Democracy Day, I congratulate His Excellency, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and all Nigerians on this historic occasion. Let us renew our collective commitment to building a stronger, more united, and prosperous nation where justice, equity, and opportunities abound for every citizen,” he said.
Hon. Anyebe wished Nigerians a peaceful and memorable Democracy Day celebration while expressing optimism that the nation’s democracy would continue to grow from strength to strength.
