The Kogi State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Monday Aridaojo Anyebe, on Sunday joined Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and other top government officials to receive Senator Adams Oshiomhole, who was in Lokoja on a condolence visit to the Governor.

Senator Oshiomhole, a former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and ex-Governor of Edo State, arrived the Government House where he was received by Governor Ododo alongside some top government officials. The visit formed part of a stream of high-profile sympathies extended to the Governor following the recent bereavement in his family.

Hon. Anyebe, who was part of the official reception line, described the visit as a show of solidarity and a reflection of the bonds within the APC and across Nigeria’s political community. He commended the outpouring of support for the Governor, noting that moments of grief offer opportunities to strengthen unity and reaffirm shared values.

Our government house correspondent reported that Senator Oshiomhole conveyed heartfelt condolences and prayed for comfort for the Governor and his family. He also used the occasion to extend goodwill to the people of Kogi State.

The brief ceremony featured a closed-door interaction between the Governor and his guest, after which the visiting delegation departed.
