How skirt or trouser take put food for your table?

0

E dey vex me say we have reduced ourselves to some mundane issues that don’t add anything to our nation’s cry for development. See, the shout of this country ehn, na only pesin wey get better ‘okpolo’ (head or brain) go hear am, no be all these buzus wey be say nothing dey awa head except religion.

Even before dem go fuck with their wives dem go say the Bible or Koran say we must do this or that before fucking, forgetting that all fuck Na bele e dey cause and pikins muct emerge if protection is not used. See ehn, iyala Iya anybody wey dey disturb the public space on this matter still.

Okay, see the current uniform being worn by the corps members and listen and read the deluge of cases of sexual harassments and sex – for – work controversy going on across the country, what if skirt is approved? Mehn, e go dobu or even tripu wallahi. Make dem even apporve make pesin begin look nyash, but what’s even the benefit of looking without touching? Abeg, I can’t come be watching pipu jo-in soapy anyhow…!

Take a chill pill before you tell me the protesters did not wear the micro or mini skirts like the pictures of those sumptuous girls going viral on the social media, once approved, just expect the death of the scheme ( I kuku hate NYSC as a scheme and wants it closed or allow people to go only by choice). Some of those people supporting the argument about skirts have never been to any camp to see how boys and girls from different states and Campa officials are ‘shanking’ one another just a day or two after meeting. What would those horny things among us then do if skirts that, whether you like it or not, are going to be abused is approved? Ah…a ma mi problem o!

Somebody spoke about Hijabs; what about them? Where I served in Ekiti State, the NYSC there said it would not allow for the long size of the Moslem head cover or Nikab to be worn in camp and that was it. It is part of the dressing mode approved by the Moslem faith for adult female when going out, but trousers are more modest for females who are going to be mingling with their male counterparts and is not forbidden is Christiandom. That is my belief.

And then I thought of it, how does this solve any of the critical challenges we have as a country? When the poor like you and I continue to wallow in arguments that would not add even a drop of development to our economy only to wake tomorrow to complain about unemployment, insecurity, dearth of critical infrastructure like road, rail, clean water, technology, decay in the education sector, corruption, rot in governance and the rest of which the skirt or trouser being worn by corps members won’t addressed. Not even one.

Moslems have continued to kill for their God as do many Christians because of extremism fuelled largely by poverty of the mind as a result of the unproductive messages they have been fed over time. The critical issue of Nigeria’s march to progress is put aside because the people have had their minds eroded and can’t think clearly about how to move themselves forward talk more of societal development.

I don’t like doing it because it has no basis but are the people throwing up those arguments even aware of the basic economic policies of government and how it affects them? Aside complaining bitterly and repeatedly over and over, what are those social media parasites good at that would give us even the smallest of push? See China, even India; don’t talk of the United States and the United Kingdom o, just talk of South Africa here. In fact, let’s think of Kenya sef. Yes, small Kenya.

We are competing in terms of development and technological advancement with countries like Bangladesh and the rest of those shit holes and you are here disturbing us about skirts and trousers. Abegi!

Technology has continued to grow, in fact, advancement in technology is now by the second and global economic indices for measuring areas of improvement have left us behind. Some persons need to be sat down and retrained even when hired as space cleaners in this country; I kid you not. And the same set of people are more interested in the argument of whether skirt or trouser is better for female youth corps members or not. Inanity sells like gala here in Naija.

It is sad that our situation is worsening and when some commentators talk about policies and programmes necessary for socioeconomic development, some people sit aloof like olodos. If you want an average Nigerian to get involved in a discussion or debate, salt it up with religion. It is there you will see their other side.

It is such a bestially grotesque phenomenon that requires surgical procedure in the minds of people and even this English no go stop anything. Naija na Naija. Awa people no dey learn anything. Even Rev Father, Bishop, Imam and Alfa children dey for miracle centres dey write their exams now. Dem be olodo but dem go pass and use money nyash to pass their exams for higher institution.

The big men children dey obodo oyobo dey learn coding and practical economic development issues, we dey here dey insult each for sosha midiya. Las Las, plenty of us no go dey alright o, forget that yahn!

Even at that I still ask; how skirt or trouser take put food for your table?

Abeg, make I Waka joor…!
