Idah Chairman, Odoma urges more attention to families of fallen military heroes

The Executive Chairman of Idah Local Government Area, Hon Abu Odoma has called Nigerians to make it a priority of giving more attention to families and relations of members of the Nigerian Armed Forces killed in service of their fatherland.

He made this remark on Friday during the celebration of 2021 Armed forces remembrance day in his Local Government.

The Executive Chairman who was represented by the Local Government Secretary, Comr Ali-Keller Abdulkadir Destiny said the sacrifices made by the fallen heroes gave birth to the freedom being enjoyed by all citizens.

The chairman who call the attention of everyone to the Supreme Sacrifice paid by Army Officers to preserve the sanctity of a united and indivisible Country, said the nation owed them alot l, noting that his administration would take a cue from Governor Yahaya Bello and do its best support members of the Legion of Ex-servicemen in the area.

The chairman crave the need to respect the fallen heroes and the Valliants that survived the trauma of Nigerian civil war fought between 1967 and 1970.

He noted that the Civil war marked a watershed in in the political history as it ushered in more United Country in spite the diversity that exists among the people.

Hon Odoma then used the opportunity to thank Idah people for their overwhelming overwhelming support in the last council poll and promised not to betray the trust and confidence reposed in him.

The Chairman appealed to the legion members to be vanguard of peace and assist the Government in checking and reducing the crime wave in the society.

He advised them not to hesitate in reporting any threat to peace and security in any part of the Local government to security agents for it to be tackled on time.
