IWD: Barr. Ladi Jatto hails Yahaya Bello for breaking gender bias »

The theme for this year’s International Women’s Day is “Breaking the Bias”. And as a woman in a male dominated position, this hits home. Everyday I step out to work, I know I represent millions of women and girls round the world who believe that they too can aspire to lead.

It is time for women to step out of our comfort zones and take up roles that have been traditionally reserved for men. Of course, in order for us to achieve this, we need all the support and encouragement.

This is why I want to use this opportunity to celebrate my able boss, the trendsetter, His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello for breaking the bias in Kogi State and Nigeria. If we can have more men in power and leadership like him, I’m sure we can accomplish greater strides in the empowerment of women in Africa.

Have a Happy International Women’s Day. Believe in Yourselves and keep Breaking the Bias. 🙅‍♀️
