The 12th of August marks the International Youth Day every year, a day to celebrate the mainstream young peoples’ voices, actions, and initiatives, as well as their meaningful, universal, and equitable engagement. This year’s celebration hopes to bring youth issues to the attention of the state and federal government of Nigeria, as well as international community to showcase the potentials of youth as partners in today’s global society.

The Nigeria New Direction Ambassadors NNDA is calling on the Youths to seize this opportunity to celebrate the mainstream young peoples’ voices, actions and initiatives, as well as their meaningful, universal and equitable engagement in the sociopolitical development of Nigeria as established by the UN General Assembly (A/RES/54/120), which endorsed the recommendation of youth inclusiveness in leadership.

World youth Day gives an opportunity to the Nigerian youths in particular to indulge in self assessment and readiness to make a difference in the sociopolitical, economic and cultural development of our dear country. Every year there’s a theme on which International Youth Day is celebrated.

The theme for the year 2021 is “Transforming Food Systems: Youth Innovation for Human and Planetary Health ”. On this day, various political, cultural, and economical campaigns are being organized across the world to spread awareness among people. This means that Youth of the World, African Youth, and Nigerian Youth in general can form an alliance, identify a youth who has the dexterity for leadership. Someone who has experience in governance, and who is a bridge for a united Nigeria. Hence, the call by the Nigeria New Direction Ambassadors for the Nigerian Youths to shift their Focus on Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State as a necessity for youthful and transformational governance.

The UN General Assembly (A/RES/54/120) endorsement is a wake up call for the Youths around the globe. let us together hold the bull by the horns, rally round Gov. Yahaya Bello to achieve our aim of taking power and spreading it amongst the Youths.
The restructuring Nigeria needs now is a democratic exchange between the old generation and the new generation of highly tested, energetic, purpose driven and patriotic individual. This is a serious clamor for the Nigerian Youth.

Yahaya Bello happens to be from the generation of Nigeria’s post civil war, a generation meant to Restructure, Rehabilitate and Reconcile (RRR) Nigeria for shared democratic dividends, political and economic development.

Happy International Youth Day, As You Celebrate, Focus On Yahaya Bello, Think About It And Take A Decision.
