KGSG emphasises commitment to improving state educational sector

Kogi State government says it is determined to taking the standard of education to the next level in view of its critical role in moulding future generation.

Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon Edward Onoja gave the assurance on Friday at a meeting he held with Education Secretaries and administrators to find solutions to some concerns raised regarding efficiency in the sector using collaborative techniques.

The meeting was held at the State Universal Basic Education Board Complex in Lokoja the State capital.

In his remarks, Onoja stated that such meeting was a platform for the Education Secretaries to present their issues for delibrations so as to find favourable solutions in the interests of the State.

He said education takes the highest priority of Governor Yahaya Bello administration, hence it is number on the five thematic concentration of the present government and urged stakeholders to assist government to achieve its objectives.

Chairman of the Education Secretaries Forum, Hon Kasim Ndagi expressed appreciation to the present administration and thanked the Chief of Staff for his leadership qualities.

The Chairman then assured the government of their commitement to justifying confidence repose in them, promising to market the lofty achievements of this administration to ensure the return of Governor Bello for another term.

He acceded the sector was critical to the growth of every society, noting that as stakeholders, they could boast that the State was being piloted in accordamce with the visions and dreams of it’s founding fathers.

He stated that the New Direction Government has given a fresh meaning to Education through the development of infrastructure, provision of instructional materials and absolute commitment to the welfare of teachers in the State.
