KGSG is committed to providing strong platforms for SMEs development – Onoja

The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Chief Edward Onoja has described the Kogi Enterprise Development Agency as a child of necessity to stimulate SME development in the State.

He stated this during a courtesy visit of the Agency management team lead by the the MD/CEO Hajiya Rekiya Onaivo Sanni in his office.

The Deputy Governor emphasized that economies all over the world are driven by the small and medium enterprise sector.

He added that Governor Yahaya Bello who is also an entrepreneur is committed to providing a strong platform for SMEs in the state to strive and contribute tremendously to the state wealth creation.

The Deputy Governor enjoined the management of the Agency to ensure its success through more partnerships with development agencies in areas where necessary.

Hajiya Rekiya Onaivo Sanni while appreciating the Governor for establishing KEDA, described the visit as one necessary to seek support, ideas, advice on sustaining the Agencies efforts in building the state economy especially through wealth creation initiatives.

The MD/CEO added that the agency has begun making collaborative efforts with development agencies such as the Bank of Industry, World Bank, Bank of Agriculture among others.

She noted that platforms for partnership have been initiated to set the pace for creating an enabling environment for the MSMEs sector.
