Kogi APC Ward Congress: Stakeholders agree on affirmation, assure peaceful conduct »

The Kogi State All Progressive Congress (APC) at its stakeholder’s meeting on Friday agreed to use the affirmative method in selecting it’s leaders at the ward level while the Governor purchased the nomination form for all the participants

The party also agreed to return existing leaders at the ward level unless for those deceased, those who have left the party and those appointed at the state or Local Government level.

The Governor and Party leader, Alhaji Yahaya Bello who was represented by the Deputy Governor, Chief Edward Onoja noted that the party have agreed to reward those who have laboured for the party stating that APC in the state have maintained a one united front

He asserted that the unprecedented successes recorded by the party in the state were largely a result of its all inclusive policy which was because of the understanding of the importance of every stakeholder in every of the party’s affairs, particularly during elections

The Governor noted that the APC in Kogi state had a track record of conducting peaceful events assuring the delegation from the National Secretariat that the congress would not be an exception

Governor Bello warned every stakeholder to adhere to the dictates of the party and not engage in any activity that could attract sanctions asserting that only selected leaders for every local government were allowed to monitor and oversee the ward congress

Chairman of the Kogi State, APC ward congress Alhaji Kabiru Suleiman Dan Musa noted that the 7 men committee were in the state to monitor and supervise the conduct of the ward congress noting that he was familiar with events in Kogi state and has all been peaceful

The Chairman of the All Progressive Congress in Kogi, Alhaji Abdullahi Bello in his opening address thanked the Governor for his continued support for the party while he reeled the Party’s guidelines for the conduct of the Ward Congress and party’s stand on the selection of its leaders

Mr. Abdullahi Bello revealed that the party had constituted a 5-man appeal committee to attend to grievances from any end so as to ensure a smooth process and adequate conflict resolution stating that the party would take actions against any person that disregarded party’s directives.

Representative from the respective regions including West, Central and East assured of co operation with the delegation from the National Secretariat and ensure that they would follow to the letter the directives of the party and ensure that the congress were successful.
