Kogi civil servants hail Gov Bello for enhanced welfare packages

Civil servants in Kogi state have commended Governor Yahaya Bello for prioritizing their welfare.

The commendation came on the heels of the recentĀ approvals meant to improve the welfare of civil servants and elevate their living standard.

In a statement signed by the state Head of Service, Mrs Odiyo O. Hannah, said the governor’s move has demonstrated his warm heart for humanity and deep concern for the welfare of Kogi State Labour force in particular.

The statement reads: “The Kogi State Head of Service, on behalf of the entire Public Service wish to immensely thank His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello for all recent approvals meant to enhance the welfare of the Civil Servants and elevate their living standard to an unprecedented height.

“Chief, among these approvals are: Resuscitation of Vehicle refurbishment Loans, Conduct of up to date Promotions, cash backing of Promotions up to 2018 and approval for the adoption of Federal Public Service upward review of Duty Tour allowance (DTA) for Kogi State Civil Servants.

“The DTA rate is more than double the rate that has been in use for ages. All these are in addition to the implementation of The #30,000 minimum wage.

‘These approvals apart from boosting the morale of workers will go a long way to strengthen the Service. It has demonstrated your warm heart for humanity and deep concern for the welfare of Kogi State Labour force in particular.

“The Civil Servants are happy in the realization that you gave vibrancy, hope and direction to their Lives and the Service. For this, they are eternally grateful.

“We pledge our absolute and continuous loyalty and support to your Government and pray that God In his infinite mercy bless all your works.
