Kogi CoS charges SSAs on unity, synergy with party structures

Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) to Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State have been charge to synergize with the structure of the All Progressives Congress (APC) across board in bid to ensure the success of the party in the coming elections.

Chief of Staff to the Governor, Pharm. Abdulkareem Muhammed Jamiu Asuku, made the call in an interactive session with the SSAs at the Banquet Hall of the government house in Lokoja, the state capital.

He said the call became necessary in view of the need for the Party (APC) to sustain her winning streak in the 2023 general elections.

The Chief of Staff advocated for more cohesion between the State Executive arms of government and party chairmen and executives in every local government across the State.

Pharm. Asuku pointed out that all Unit, Ward, Local Government Executives and other structures of the party should be serviced for the growth of the party to keep the fold together.

He said Local Government, Constituency, Senatorial and other meetings of appointees should be revived, stressing that such effort would keep the structure of the party stronger in the state.

The Chief of Staff advised them to ensure the victory of all Candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming elections, stressing that such will go a long at bringing more value to the party.

“If you contest and you couldn’t make it, stay united and continue to work for the party, if you decide to work against the party, I want to remind you that you will still not be trusted in the new party because you will be seen as a betrayer.

“So let’s stay united and keep working for the All Progressives Congress (APC) because this party has given us all a platform to harness our leadership qualities” he said.

Pharm. Asuku enjoined them to bury their respective grievances and work collectively to promote the image of all Candidates of the Party in the coming elections.

The Chief of Staff expressed optimism that Kogi would still take its rightful place in the committee of states in Nigeria, describing Kogi as the nucleus of Nigeria.

Speaking on the forthcoming elections, the Chief of Staff said the Presidential flag-bearer of the Party, Sen. Ahmed Bola Tinubu, remained the game changer in the next political dispensation.

He assured of the commitment of the state at canvassing for the success of the Presidential flag-bearer, stressing that all plans would be unveiled in no distant time.

SSAs from the Central, East and West, in their remarks, described the meeting as fruitful, calling for feedback mechanism for greater success.

They explained that the Forum was blessed with the numerical strength to take the forthcoming election midway, calling for synergy between candidates of the party ahead of 2023.

The Forum also explained that electoral laws has changed; hence the need to change tactics at approaching the forthcoming elections, adding that frequent interface with the people at the grassroots will go a long way at sustaining the winning freaks of the Party.

The Chairman of the Forum, Hon. Ismaila Umar, appreciated the Chief of Staff for granting them audience, describing the meeting as eventful.

Hon. Ismaila Umar, who is the SSA on ICT, while calling on Candidates of the party to synergize with them, assured of the readiness of the members of the forum to work to ensure the success of the Party in the next political dispensation.
