Kogi Deputy Governor Endorses Governor Ododo All Campus Games 2026
The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Comrade Joel Salifu Oyibo, has endorsed the maiden edition of the Governor Ododo All Campus Games 2026, describing the initiative as timely and capable of unlocking the sporting potential of students across tertiary institutions in the state.
The Deputy Governor gave his endorsement when members of the Main Organising Committee of the games paid him a courtesy visit in his office in Lokoja.
Comrade Joel Salifu commended the Organising Committee for its commitment and tireless efforts towards ensuring the successful hosting of the inaugural edition of the competition.
He noted that the idea behind the All Campus Games was timely, stressing that the initiative would provide students in tertiary institutions across the state with an avenue to engage positively in sporting activities, develop their talents and remain focused.
According to him, the games would also provide an opportunity for Kogi State to identify and harness the abundant sporting talents within its tertiary institutions for the benefit of the state and the nation.
The Deputy Governor further commended the State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Honourable Aridaojo Monday Anyebe, for what he described as exemplary leadership and his efforts in galvanising the youth to support the laudable achievements of the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.
Comrade Salifu Oyibo assured the Organising Committee of his full support for the Governor Ododo All Campus Games, promising to support the initiative all the way to ensure that the maiden edition achieves its objectives.
The Governor Ododo All Campus Games is expected to bring together students from tertiary institutions across Kogi State in a celebration of sports, youth development, talent discovery and healthy competition.
