Kogi Government Congratulates Dr. Hassan Ocholi on Appointment to TETFund Board of Trustees »

The Kogi State Government has congratulated Dr. Hassan Abdulrahman Ocholi on his appointment as a Member of the Board of Trustees of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), representing the North Central geopolitical zone.

In a statement issued on Wednesday by the Commissioner for Information and Communications, Hon. Kingsley Femi Fanwo, the government described the appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a well-deserved recognition of Dr. Ocholi’s outstanding record of service, academic excellence and commitment to national development.

According to the statement, Dr. Ocholi’s distinguished career in public administration, scientific research, policy engagement and community development has positioned him as a worthy choice for the strategic national assignment.

The state government expressed confidence that the renowned scholar’s wealth of experience and multidisciplinary background would significantly contribute to the continued transformation of Nigeria’s tertiary education sector through TETFund.

The government also commended President Tinubu for considering another illustrious son of Kogi State for national service, noting that the appointment reflects the President’s confidence in competence and his administration’s determination to assemble capable Nigerians to drive the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Describing Dr. Ocholi as a distinguished son of Oganenigwu in Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State, the government said his appointment has brought pride and honour to the state and expressed optimism that he would play a pivotal role in shaping policies and programmes aimed at strengthening tertiary education in Nigeria.

Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, according to the statement, expressed confidence in Dr. Ocholi’s ability to justify the confidence reposed in him through diligent and patriotic service.

The governor wished the new TETFund Board member a successful tenure and assured him of the support and goodwill of the government and people of Kogi State as he assumes the important national responsibility.
