Kogi Governor Donates 5 Motorbikes to NSCDC Outpost In Ofante Ogugu

The commissioning of the Ofante Outpost in Ogugu District for the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) marked a pivotal moment in the region’s efforts to enhance security and community welfare.

The event held amidst great anticipation, was attended by the Zonal Security Adviser to Kogi State Governor, Rt Hon. Ahmed Mohammed , who emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing local security challenges.

The outpost, a generous donation by Chief Elder Ogwu James Onoja, SAN, is a proof to the power of public-private partnerships in strengthening security infrastructure. In his address, the Zonal Security Adviser applauded the Senior Advocate of Nigeria for his proactive role in supporting national security and fostering community resilience. He noted that the facility would significantly improve the NSCDC’s operational capacity, ensuring a rapid response to emergencies and crime prevention in the district.

Adding to the impact of this initiative, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo demonstrated his commitment to security by donating five brand-new motorbikes to the outpost. This contribution is expected to enhance the mobility and efficiency of NSCDC personnel in carrying out their duties across the district’s challenging terrain.

Speaking at the event, Chief Ogwu James Onoja, SAN expressed his joy in contributing to the safety and development of his community. He called on other stakeholders to prioritize security, which he described as a cornerstone of sustainable development.
