Kogi State Gov’t opens tender for remodeling, upgrade of 5 hospitals
Poised to improving health care services is the state through improved infrastructure, the Kogi State Government, through the ministry of health, has requested for expression of interest for the renovation, remodeling and upgrade of some hospitals in the state.
In a statement issued by the Permanent Secretary of the ministry’s tenders’ board, Mrs Offor Dana rose, interested companies are to obtain their documents from the department of health planning, research and statistics, Ministry of health, Lokoja on payment of the non-refundable contract fee applicable to the Lot into a specified Kogi State Board of Internal Revenue Bank account.
The project listed includes;
- Construction of New Ultramodern Clinical complex in Prince Abubakar Audu University Teaching Hospital (PAAUTH), Anyigba.
- renovation, remodeling and upgrade of Zonal Hospital, Idah.
- Construction of New Ultramodern Clinical complex in General Hospital, Isanlu.
- Procurement and installation of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Chambers for Reference Hospital, Okene.
- Procurement and deliver of BLS and ALS Ambulance for the Reference Hospital in Okene.
In his reaction, the Kogi State Commissioner for Health, Hon. Saka Haruna said the call for tender was in furtherance of the Governor Bello’s health sector revolution in the state.
He said quality and accessible health care for indigene and residents of the state was of paramount importance to the Governor, and that every necessary action is being taken to not only bring health care closer to the people, but to also ensure that Kogi State becomes a reference in health infrastructure.
