Kogi Guber: APC stalwart, Ijese canvasses women support for Ododo »

Mrs Ijese Charity, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has canvassed support for Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman, the Kogi APC governorship candidate for November election.

Mrs Ijese, the convener of JBest Grassroots Women Connect drumed the support on Wednesday at the secretariat of Ogori-Magongo Local Government Area (LGA) of the state when he addressed women ahead of the governorship poll.

While expressing confidence that Ododo will have a smooth victory, Ijese urged the women to vote for the APC candidate in the election, stressing that Ogori-Magongo local government must align with the progressives to enable them enjoy more dividends of democracy.

She used the occasion to extol the virtues of the governorship Candidate of the party, Alhaji Usman Ododo. According to her, Ododo has the capacity and ability, with reasonable experience to govern Kogi State.

Mrs Ijese thanked the Kogi State Accountant General, Hon. Jibrin Momoh for standing strong for the APC, and for providing support to the women. She also praised Governor Yahaya Bello for his commitment to the security and wellbeing of the people of Kogi State.

The mmeeting was attended by stakeholders in the local government, including the Vice Chairperson of the local government council, Secretary of the local government council, Ogori-Magongo LGA APC women leader, Wards women leaders amongst others.

Highlights of the meeting was declaration of support for the APC candidate, and the distribution of cash, wrappers, and food stuffs to women. A gesture sponsored by the state Accountant General, Hon. Jibrin Momoh.
