Kogi Guber: “GYB Legacies, APC Integrity, Justifies Our Clamour for Continuity, Consolidation“ -Abraham Jacob
As the days draw closer to the Kogi November 11th gubernatorial election, Abraham Jacob, a party faithful of the All Progressive Congress, APC, has revealed that the obvious sterling legacies of the New Direction Administration of the incumbent governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, in the areas of Health, Infrastructural developments, Agriculture, Security, Education, Financial Prudence and Accountability, Youths And Sports Development, Women And Special Persons Involvement In Governance and Policy Making, Sociocultural integration and sustenance of unity among others as well as the integrity of the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, both at the National and State level, remains the bedrock for which APC must maintain and sustain its consolidation and continuity in Kogi State beyond the November 11th gubernatorial election.
Abraham Jacob who maintained that no true faithful of APC in the state is ready to compromise the victory of the party at the November election, re-emphasised Vice President Kashim Shetima’s words of Caution at the Flagoff of Kogi APC Gubernatorial Campaign in Lokoja where he stated how important and precious Kogi State is to Nigeria and the danger involved in allowing it fall into the hands of total strangers in the guise of strange party aside from the ruling All Progressive Congress.
APC as a party that has proven undoubted political integrity can’t afford to allow Kogites fall into wrong hands and party leadership when it has already proven beyond every reasonable doubt that it is fully on ground and capable of consolidating on its existing achievements in the state. Abraham noted.
He pointed to the fact that among all parties contesting in the gubernatorial election, none meets the integrity standard of the ruling All Progressive Congress. It will interest everyone to know that most of the candidates flying the tickets of their respective parties, have at one point in time or the other, drank from the richness of generosity of the APC and due to their nature of political betrayal, have decided to become ungrateful to the party but for we who appreciates the integrity of the party, we are ready to defend it to the last minute even beyond the November poll and the assurance of our victory remains incorruptible and uncompromising.
“The legacies of the New Direction Administration in Kogi State under the leadership of His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, CON, can’t be allowed to go down the drain. Hence, the need for continuity and consolidation becomes sacrosanct. Even the blind can attest to the gigantic infrastructural projects both completed and nearly the stage of completion scattered across the state all courtesy of Governor Yahaya Bello. Today, the three senatorial districts in the state can comfortably boost of owning state universities, a project that takes only a governor with a strong political will to execute. World class standard hospitals too built across the state alongside standard GYB Model Science Schools across the nine federal constituencies in the state. This is to mention but a few of the lasting legacy projects of the incumbent administration.”
The Permanent Board Member of Kogi State Health Insurance Agency, emphatically stated that legacies of the incumbent administration and the instituted integrity of the ruling All Progressive Congress both at the National and State level remains the fountain of strength and courage for which APC has fielded Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo as its flag bearer to maintain and sustain the existing democratic leadership standard by way of continuity and consolidation.
He further mentioned that the only accepted and chanted agenda in Kogi State is the “Kogi Development Agenda” ably represented by Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo. While other candidates and their parties are busy building walls of division across tribe, ethnic and religious divides, Ododo and the APC are busy consolidating on the Governor Yahaya Bello’s bridge of unity, peace, tolerance and oneness amongst Kogites.
