Kogi Guber: Ododo Inaugurates Babayemi Vanguard Support Group »

…Urges grassroots engagement, sensitization

The frontline governorship candidate for the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Kogi State, Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman was at Kabba today to officially inaugurate the Western Senatorial District Working Coordinators of a support group, Babayemi Vanguard, saddled with the responsibility of coordinating the activities of the group at every nooks and crannies within the senatorial district.

At he event which took place inside the Kabba legislative Hal, l Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman who was represented by the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Hon. Wemi Jones, expressed his profound gratitude to the convener and Director General of Babayemi Vanguard, Chief Babayemi Olorunfemi for his support and commitment towards the forthcoming governorship election in Kogi State. He appreciated the Kogi born philanthropist for identifying with the All Progressive Congress, and for believing in his manifestos of Ododo Usman which encompasses roadmap for a prosperous state.

He then went ahead to assure the Coordinators and the entire team members of Babayemi Vanguard of his continual support for the group as they go about discharging their duties by ensuring victory for the party, on November 11th, 2023.

In the remark of the Director General, Chief Babayemi Olorunfemi which was delivered by the Coordinator of the group, Kelvin Oluseyi Eleta eulogized the newly inaugurated Coordinators, party faithfuls, political stakeholders of Kogi West Senatorial District, and the entire state to rally support for Ododo Ahmed Usman as they approach the state’s governorship election. He identified security, infrastructure, youth and women inclusion and fostering unity among the diverse ethnic groups in the state to be among the cardinal achievements of the current administration of Governor Yahaya Bello, and reinstated his high level of assurances that with Alhaji Ododo will consolidate on the lofty achievements and make Kogi State better.

“As Kogites and particularly as Westerners, we are not interested in any ambition born out of personal vendetta against the development and continual rapid growth of our state. We are saying no to tribal sentiment and biases, and are coming out as one people to throw weights behind a candidate whom we believe has the interest of the state at heart, a candidate whom we believe will continue in the path of growth which we are all witnesses. And most importantly, a Candidate whom we believe will take over the mantle of leadership to consolidate and carry on with the achievements of this current administration.” Babayemi said.

Chairman of Kabba Local Government Area, Hon. Moses Olorunleke in hiss address commended the DG of the group, Babayemi Olorunfemi for his support for the APC gubernatorial candidate. He said Kogi West Senatorial District has gained a lot from the New Direction administration hence it’s decision to stand by the party and its candidate to ensure consolidation.

On his part, the APC state Youth Leader, Hon. Mohammed U. Mohammed called on Youths in the area to remain firm in their resolve and vote massively for APC at the November 11 election, stressing that only the APC has concrete youth friendly policies.

Other stakeholders at the Inauguration including top party executives of the All Progressive Congress in Kogi State, The state’s APC Deputy Chairman, the state’s APC Treasurer, APC Zonal Chairman (West). Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants to Kogi State Governor of Kogi State. APC Party Executives of Ayegunle Gbede/Iluhafon Ward, and representatives of APC Local Government Party Chairmen all hailed the initiative and urged others to emulate.
