Kogi state Governor, Yahaya Bello has assured that his successor would be named at the right time by the strong system and structure of the All Progressive Congress which has been built from emergence of the party in 2015 till date.

He added that his leadership would not tolerate any politician who would in pursuit of selfish interest devise to tear the party and the new Kogi which his administration has labored to build using ethnic or religious sentiments.

The governor who met with elected and appointed party stakeholders on Tuesday also directed that all support groups with the aim of supporting any cause must go through the APC state hierarchy while their plans and programs must align with that of the state.

He noted that APC in Kogi state remained one big indivisible entity hence all efforts by respective stakeholders must be effectively synergized so as to allow the party thoroughly know its strength and weakness going into the election year.

Governor Bello reiterated that the party would emerge with100% victory in the forth coming election for candidates of the party adding that every individual in their respective zone must work together and galvanize the needed support in ensuring that such result was achieved.

Speaking on behalf of Kogi east political stakeholders, senator Isah Jibrin noted that Governor Bello stood out remarkably when it comes to conflict resolution. He similarly urged him to reveal some of his conflict resolution strategies to his counterpart so that the party could go into the general election as a family.

He opined that the several stakeholder interface organized in the last few days have helped calm several agitations and rancor within the party structure while assuring that party stakeholders from the region were ready to work for the success of the party across board.

Also on behalf of the party members from Kogi Central, Engineer Sadiq Ohere appreciated the governor for transforming the state with several infrastructural landmarks while asserting that the New Direction’s developmental strides have touched everywhere within the state.

He noted that party members and stakeholders would campaign with the governor’s numerous achievements in the state and would ensure that victory for every candidate would be overwhelming

In his on remarks on behalf of Kogi west senatorial district, Rt. Hon Matthew Kolawole urged aggrieved members to forgive one another in the interest and for the success of the party, emphasizing that a divided house would not be effective in winning elections at the polls.
