…deliberates on APC guber candidate’s strategic selling points.

In a bid to further equip its strategic canvassers with the needed information required to advocate for the candidacy of the All Progressive Congress gubernatorial candidate, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo, the Williams Strategic campaign team under the leadership of the Rector, Nigeria-Korea Friendship Institute, Williams Charles Oluwatoyin on Tuesday organised a symposium and interactive session with some stakeholders of the party in the state.

Some of those invited to interact with the canvassers included the Special Adviser to the Governor on Youths and Student matters, Hon. Jubril Amodu, the Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board, Comrade Abdullahi Ndalayi Suleiman, Chairman, Nigeria Society of Engineers, Lokoja Chapter and Director-General, Daisy Ododo Campaign Organisation Engineer. Yahaya M.D Farouk and other stakeholders in attendance. The gathering also discussed extensively on the strategic selling points of the gubernatorial candidate that would be relatable to the public.

In his remarks, the Special Adviser to Governor Bello on Youths and Student matters who discussed on why the youths and students in Kogi state must support a continuity government of Alhaji Usman Ododo, said that Governor Bello in the last seven years of his leadership have impacted positively in the lives of the youths through strategic empowerment, policies and programs, infrastructures and massive support that have made this all important demography politically relevant.

He added that the Yahaya Bello led administration has greatly improved on the standard of education and facilitating more academic institution which enabled more young persons from the state to gainfully get admission into their most preferred courses of choice like medicine, pharmacy, Engineering and others while he has similarly ensured that the needed facilities and the right environment has been duly provided to ease their learning.

Hon. Jubril added that if so much was achieved under Governor Bello’s leadership, the youths should be certain that Alhaji Usman Ododo would do much more as he would follow the already laid down trajectory of the current New Direction Administration leadership while he described the party’s candidate as humane, humble and posses remarkable administrative traits.

Engineer Yahaya Farouk in his session dealt with the conundrum concerning the personality of the Party’s candidate pointing out that Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo is such a humble man, hard working and posses the needed experience to steer the affairs of the confluence state into much greater heights. He alluded that many misconstrued opinions about the candidates of the APC were mere conception of opposition who are willing to stain the image of the Party’s candidates stating that these misconceptions are false and many of those who are closely associated with Alhaji Usman Ododo would attest that he is a leader material.

He pointed out that the team was indeed a great initiative and was the needed strategic recipe for the forth coming election as it would help propel strategic and planned messaging in a bid to educate the populace on the choice of Alhaji Usman Ododo.

The Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board, Comrade Abdullahi Ndalayi who went through the numerous landmark achievements of the government in the Education sector said that governor Bello has effectively managed the resources of the state, which he met in a very bad state and has been able to deliver maximally on his promises in very critical sector most especially education. He pointed out that as a former labour leader who is not ignorant of the happenings in the government right from the time of previous administration, Kogi state under Yahaya Bello’s tenure has indeed recorded giant leaps

He alluded that the APC candidate, AlhajI Ododo has been with the Local government system for a very long time, learning the ropes of leadership directly from the incumbent governor Bello and he was thorougly prepared to identify areas to build on when his administration emerges.

Earlier In his opening remarks, the convener and Director General, Williams Strategic Campaign Team for Ododo/Joel, Williams Charles Oluwatoyin expressed that in its usual manner, the team which has been a consistent supporter of the All Progressive Congress from the era of Buhari Media Center said it was in its usual disposition to equip its team members with the required information to sell its candidates at specific electioneering season.

While he thanked the facilitators for enlightening members of the group with the necessary information that would aid their canvassing efforts, he urged the team members to work tirelessly and efficiently towards achieving its goals.
