Kogi industrialisation hope rises as company acquires Gold Processing Plant

AMMGAN Nigeria Limited, a multinational company in the country has boosted the industrialisation chances of Kogi State by acquiring a gold processing plabt.

The company which is owned by the National Vice President of Miners Association of Nigeria, Alhaji Musa Muhammed, said the acquisition was because of the belief they had in the capacity of the state to boost the resources of the nation.

The ground breaking and installation ceremony was witnessed by the Kogi State Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engr Abubakar Bashir Gegu in Kogi Local Government Area.

Speaking during at the event, the CEO of the company, Alhaji Musa Muhammed who highlighted the capacity of the processor said it was capable of processing up to five tons of precious metal per hour.

He said it was one of the best in the market and has been brought to demonstrate the preparedness of his company to add value to the efforts of Kogi State Ministry of Solid Minerals and Natural Resources and the state government under Governor Yahaya Bello.

He stressed that the foundation of industrialization is the development solid Minerals sector, noting that if given the right attention, the sector was capable of single handedly taking the nation and Kogi in particular out of its economic woes.

While calling on Kogi State government not to be part of consumer states, he advised that it was time for Governor Bello to give all the necessary support to the solid Minerals ministry under a commissioner that is performing excellently.

Reacting, the state commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engr Abubakar Bashir Gegu reiterated the assurances of government under Governor Yahaya Bello to partner with and ensure security of investors’ resources.

He promised that the state would partner and collaborate with serious investors to move the state, even as he warned that present administration would not tolerate any form of exploitative partnership at the detriment of the citizens.

The ceremony was also witnessed by Ohimege of Igu Kotonkarfe, Alhaji Abdulrazaq Gambo Sani Isa Koto who was represented by Ohimozi Dangara of Igu Kingdom, Dr Bako.
