Kogi: Notorious Armed Robber, Chubiyo Mechanic Nabbed in Ofu LGA »

In a bid to replicating the intolerant nature of Governor Yahaya Bello’s administration towards security breaches, crimes and criminalities, the Senior Special Assistant on security to the Governor in Ofu Local Government has coordinated the arrest of a suspected prominent Armed Robber known as Uchubiojo Musa Uchabe.

While being paraded in Ugwolawo, headquarters of the local government, the suspect said he’s an employee of a private organization where he serves as guard with a rifle but subsequently decided to launch himself into breaking people’s doors to cart away valuables till he met his waterloo on the 17th of July, 2020.

Items recovered from him were a number of charms meant to aid his ability to escape arrest during any operation. He confessed to be the one who has either stolen or aided the theft of Motorcycles within Ugwolawo and its environs. The suspect accepted that a recently stolen Bike is in his custody in conjunction with one Abukeke from Ikagbo, a suburb in Ofu LGA.

Also, Uchubiyo admitted that a motocycle belonging to one Oma-Agbede was stolen by him with his accomplice, named “Borres” from Ajaka. When asked of the reasons for such engagements, he vented there’s none.

Hon. Amodu Ibrahim Destiny appreciated the efforts of Ugwolawo youths and the Police that has permeated the arrest of the prime suspect, noting that more of his accomplices who could be on the run shall soon be apprehended and prosecuted. The Police promised to let the laws have their says on the suspect.
