Kogi SSG Presents Projects Compendium to Works Minister

The Secretary to the Kogi State Government, Dr. Mrs. Folashade Arike Ayoade yesterday presented a comprehensive projects compendium of the immediate past administration of Yahaya Bello to the Minister of Works, Engr. Dave Umahi.

The SSG who made the presentation in Lokoja during the visit of the Minister to inspect ongoing Federal Government projects in the state said the act is aimed at showcasing the developmental strides of Kogi State.

Mrs Ayoade said the projects compendium which encapsulates various completed infrastructural initiatives of former governor Yahaya Bello across different sectors within the state is a testament to the solid foundation laid by the immediate past administration.

She said the commitment of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo on consolidating on the achievements of his predecessor underscored his commitment towards infrastructural development and accountability.

The SSG emphasized the state government’s dedication to transparency and effective governance, highlighting the need for collaboration with federal agencies to accelerate development efforts.

She noted that the compendium, along with the 32-Year Development Plan of the state serves as a comprehensive guide to the state’s infrastructural achievements and a blueprint for future endeavors.

In response, the Minister of Works, Engr. Dave Umahi commended the proactive approach of the Kogi State Government towards infrastructural development, expressing optimism about the positive impact these projects would have on the socio-economic landscape of the state. He pledged the federal government’s support in ensuring the successful execution and completion of ongoing projects, underscoring the importance of synergy between federal and state agencies for sustainable development.

The Minister, Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Comr. Joel Oyibo Salifu, the SSG and other top government officials then after proceeded to inspect some ongoing federal government projects in the state.
