Kogi State NYCN Coordinators’ Chairman receives delegation of students leadership bodies on working visit

Kogi State Chairman of Forum of Coordinators of National Youth Council of Nigeria, Comrade Abdullahi Adamu has received leadership bodies of students from several parts of the country in Lokoja.

Receiving the students, one of who was from his Alma Mater, Federal University of Technology, Minna, Comrade Abdullahi expressed gratitude for the visits and said they would encourage him to sustain his push for the betterment of the youths.

He called on students to ensure they create time for their studies despite their involvement in activism, noting that their primary purpose of being in the institutions were for the acquisition of knowledge and becoming better citizens of the country and the world at large.

The Chairman who further went down memory lane to recall his time as a student unionist on campus said he was able to balance academic and education because of the value he placed on it.

He urged them to take their studies serious by ensuring they are present for lectures, tests, assignments and exams, saying it was through that that they could be guaranteed a good future after graduation.

Comrade Abdullahi, while also admonishing them to be true ambassadors of their parents, institutions and fellow students urged them to shelve any form of selfishness and put the need of the students above their personal gains.

Earlier in his address, the President of Student Union Government, Federal University of Technology, Minna, Comrade Fajoyi Ayodeji Mathew applauded the exemplary leadership of the NYCN Coordinators’ Chairman, describing it as worthy of emulation.

He expressed pride in the person of Comrade Abdullahi in view of the institution he graduated from, and assured him that his successors have been doing wonderfully since he left the institution.

Speaking, the Vice Chairman (North Central) of National Association of University Students (NAUS), Shuaib Ishaq Yahaya and 20 other student leaders in their separate remarks also heaped praises on Comrade Abdullahi and his leadership capacity.
