Kogi to provide secured environment for investors »

Kogi State Government said it would provide conducive environment for investors in the mining sector in order to enhance exploration and improve the revenue base of the state.

The State Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Hon. Abubakar Bashiru Muhammed made this known in Ankpa while on a visit to Dangote Coal Mining Site at Awo Akpali.

Honourable Abubakar who was accompanied by some management staff of the ministry assured investors in the state of the state government’s commitment towards ensuring that they have value for their investments by making sure that the environment was secured to enhance exploration.

According to him, the New Direction Administration of Alhaji Yahaya Bello would ensure that every economic opportunity available in the state was explored to add value, create employment opportunities for the people and increased the revenue base of the state.

He reiterated the commitment of the state government in making sure that the state economy is viable for investors, adding that the security of lives and property of people is a priority to the government New Direction Agenda.

In his welcome address, the Project Coordinator of Dangote Coal Mining, Alhaji Usman Jibrin thanked the Commissioner for the visit, assuring that his organization was mindful of its social responsibility and the commitment to the government and the people of the state.
