LG Poll: APC Fully Prepared to Deliver Quality Leadership in Ankpa – Prof. Ogbo

A prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State, Professor Salisu Ogbo Usman, has declared that the party is fully prepared to provide quality leadership in Ankpa as the October 19th local government election approaches. Speaking during the official flag-off of the party’s campaign in Ankpa on Saturday, Prof. Ogbo emphasized the APC’s commitment to development and progress in the local government.

Addressing a large gathering of party members and supporters, Prof. Ogbo outlined the APC’s vision for Ankpa, which focuses on infrastructure, youth empowerment, healthcare, and education. He stressed that the party’s track record in governance at both the state and federal levels positions it as the best choice for the people of Ankpa.

“We are here today not just to launch a campaign, but to reaffirm our commitment to progress, development, and the welfare of our people. Ankpa deserves strong leadership, and the APC is fully prepared to deliver that.

“We are not here to make empty promises. The APC has demonstrated its commitment to positive change, and we are ready to take Ankpa to greater heights with quality leadership. Our candidate has the experience, the vision, and the passion to lead Ankpa into a brighter future.”

Prof. Ogbo enumerated several initiatives undertaken by the APC administration in Kogi State, including road construction, improved access to healthcare, and efforts to boost agricultural productivity, as evidence of the party’s ability to deliver results. He urged voters to place their trust in the APC’s candidate for the chairmanship position, Engineer Ademu Yahaya and other councilorship candidates, assuring them of continued progress and development.

Other party leaders in attendance echoed Prof. Ogbo’s sentiments, stressing the need for unity and urging party members to remain focused and committed as the election draws closer. They emphasized that the APC’s leadership is built on transparency, accountability, and service to the people.

Highlight of the event was the the presentation of flags to the thirteen councilorship candidates of the party and the official welcoming of hundreds of new decampees from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), and Labour Party respectively.

Earlier, Prof. Ogbo commissioned a motorized borehole, which was donated to Makurdi Street by Honorable Lawal Akus, the House of Assembly member for Ankpa I State Constituency.
