Local Government Secretary Empowers Residents with N1m Cash in Adavi
The newly appointed Secretary of Adavi local government area of Kogi state, Hon. Abdulmalik Isah Onipe popularly known as MKO in Adavi has empowered residents across the 11 wards in his Adavi local government with cash to boost their economic status.
Aside from the financial empowerment, he also hosted the leaders to Iftar ( Breaking of fast ) in his residence at Okunchi.
Hon. MKO explained that the gesture was part of his continuous reach out to his people at the grassroots, but decided to improve on the warfare of his people when he was appointed, a gesture which he said is geared towards the development of his people.
He noted that the gesture was aimed to alleviate the suffering of his people, adding that the “Women Cash Empowerment” is necessary to enable them start something on their own.
The Adavi Scribe explained that the empowerment will reduce the rate of unemployment in the local government especially in his domain.
He said: “Apart from this women cash empowerment that we are doing here today, it is also in my plan to empower men across the 11 wards in Adavi as soon as things improves.”
He equally used the opportunity to appreciate the state party chairman, Alh Abdullahi Bello ( Dollar) for his leadership in Adavi
He Commend Kogi state Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo for his guidance and opportunity to serve his people at the Grassroot
Those in attendance were the critical stakeholders across the 11 wards in Adavi which consists of APC ward chairmen , women leaders , GYB ward coordinators and others.
