Lokoja LGT C'ttee Chair Congratulates New Maigari of Lokoja, Maiyaki of Kupa »

The Chairman of Transition Committee for Lokoja Local Government Area, Comrade Abdullahi Adamu has congratulated the newly appointed Maigari of Lokoja and Maiyaki of Kupa by Governor Yahaya Bello.

In a press statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Iliyasu Zakari, Comrade Abdullahi Adamu thanked Governor Yahaya Bello for appointing Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Kabir and Alhaji Dauda Kabir Isa as the New Maigari of Lokoja and Maiyaki of Kupa respectively to ascend the thrones of their forebears.

Their appointment, he said, has brought relief to their immediate communities and the Local Government Area in general as the vacuum left by the death of previous occupants have been filled.

He called on all the sons and daughters of Lokoja Local Government Area at home and in the diaspora to rally round both the Political and Traditional office holders and the institutions to ensure continued peace and development of Lokoja.

In his words, “We will work hand in hand with the traditional institutions to attract more development, ensure peaceful coexistence in their domains and local government at large. I pray for Allah’s protection, guidance, good health and the wisdom to effectively undertake the responsibilities the new positions have bestowed upon us.”

Comrade Abdullahi also extends his congratulatory message to the entire Koton Karfe Kingdom and the new Ohimegye Igu of Koton Karfe, Alhaji Saidu Akawu Salihu. “I am particularly excited because he is a mentor and someone who I benefited from his wise counsel and guidance over the years.”
