#NigeriaDecides2023: Dr. Ogbo wins own polling unit, confident of party’s victory

The Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, Dr. Salisu Ogbo Usman, won his polling unit with a landslide margin at the just concluded general election.

Dr. Usman cast his vote in Ankpa Township (Unit 003), Kogi State, and with the confidence of the All Progressive Congress (APC), flagbearers winning the various contested positions.

Dr. Usman, who voted in Poling Unit 003 (the Dr. Ogbo Polling Unit) in Ankpa Township, polled 222 votes for the All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential candidate Sen. Ahmed Bola Tinubu to defeat the People Democratic Party (PDP), who polled 73 votes, the NNPP – 06, and the Labour Party – 03.

He polled 219 votes for the All Progressive Congress (APC) senatorial candidate, Alh. Jibril Isah Echocho, to defeat the People Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Dr. Victor Adoji, who polled 90 votes; the NNPP polled 11 votes; and the Labour Party polled one vote.

Dr. Usman polled 261 votes for the All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate for Ankpa, Omala, and Olamaboro Federal Constituency, Alh. Halim’s, to defeat the People Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, who polled 52 votes; the NNPP polled -25 votes; and the Labour Party polled 1 vote in the just concluded presidential and national assembly election in the state.

He expressed profound appreciation to the people of Angwa in Ankpa Local Government, Kogi State, for the natural love and support displayed even though he wasn’t on the ballot.
