Nigerians in France add voice to call for Gov Bello to contest presidency in 2023

As calls for Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello to contest Nigeria’s presidency in 2023 intensifies, a diaspora group with the name Governor Yahaya Bello Solidarity Movement, has added its voice.

Coordinator of the group, Joy Robinson said in a statement on Sunday that their decision to back the Governor was because there’s need for a competent, energetic, capable, focused, pragmatic, detribalised, progressive, courageous and a religious moderate to oversee the affairs of the country.

To them, a person with such qualities would assist in taking the country away from the current social and economic problems the citizens faced, adding that Bello has all the characteristics in addition to being a youth with a track record of performance to take Nigeria to the Next Level.

The statement reads in part; “After considering all the options available to us, His Excellency Alhahi Yahaya Adoza Bello, the Executive Governor of Kogi State has over time proven that he has portrayed the above traits because he’s a unifier, a reformer, a performer, fearless commander, a man who respect gender equality and an Egalitarian Leader par excellence.

“As Governor, he has fulfilled his constitutional obligations by Protecting the lives of his people that has made him the most security conscious Governor in Nigeria.

“GYB has placed the health and well-being of his people ahead of politics by providing health care facilities and building of world class Hospitals across the three senatorial districts in Kogi State.

“GYB placed education as his first priority in governance because knowledge is power, he does this by building thousands of classroom and furnished them for conducive and convenient learning environment for all the students in Kogi State at various levels of education.

“GYB is known as an Astute public administrator and gender equality leader, he has made the women folks to feel direct impact of governance by fulfilling the 35 percent affirmative act above all, GYB is a God fearing and a result oriented Leader.

“I want to enjoined all the good people of Nigeria both at home and all of us at diaspora to support GYB because he has the ability to unite our Nation, he’ll represent the interest of Nigerians wherever he finds himself, he’ll take us to the Next Level of development, he’ll revive the passion for human capacity building.

“Let’s support GYB for Presidency for a New Nigeria come 2023,” the statement concluded.
