Hon. Omoluabi Bode Adeyemi, Chairman of the Forum of Special Advisers in Kogi State, has been appointed Chairman of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) Standing Committee on Business/Development.

The appointment places Adeyemi at the head of a committee responsible for advancing business opportunities, strategic partnerships and professional development within the institute.

His emergence is being viewed as a recognition of his leadership experience, strategic thinking and record of institutional engagement, according to information on the appointment.

As Chairman of the Forum of Special Advisers in Kogi State, Adeyemi has focused on collaboration, innovation and strategic engagement. His new role in the NIPR is expected to provide an opportunity to apply those experiences to the institute’s business and development agenda.

The committee is expected to explore innovative initiatives, strengthen partnerships and identify opportunities capable of improving the visibility and economic value of professional public relations practice.

Adeyemi’s appointment also comes amid growing demands for the public relations profession to adapt to changing business and communication environments and strengthen its links with government, the private sector and other stakeholders.

Speaking after accepting the responsibility, Adeyemi expressed appreciation for the confidence placed in him, describing the appointment as both an honour and a call to greater service.

He pledged to deploy his experience, energy and strategic thinking towards delivering on the committee’s mandate.

Adeyemi said the committee would focus on practical, measurable and sustainable initiatives rather than merely making recommendations.

He also noted that the future of public relations would depend on the profession’s ability to move beyond conventional communication and serve as a strategic tool for business growth, institutional development, investment, reputation management and sustainable partnerships.

The new NIPR committee chairman is expected to work with members and stakeholders to develop initiatives that will contribute to the institute’s professional and institutional development.
