NKFI Rector Endorses Governor Ododo All Campus Games 2026 »

The Rector, Nigeria-Korea Friendship Institute of Vocational and Advanced Technology (NKFI), Lokoja, Dr. Onumoh Ahmed Yahaya, has endorsed the Governor Ododo All Campus Games 2026, describing the initiative as a worthwhile platform for promoting youth development, talent discovery and unity among students in Kogi State.

Dr. Yahaya gave the endorsement on Tuesday when he received members of the organising committee of the Governor Ododo All Campus Games at his office in Lokoja.

The Rector commended the organisers for conceiving a programme that brings students from tertiary institutions across the state together through sports and healthy competition.

He noted that beyond sporting activities, initiatives of such nature provide opportunities for young people to build friendships, develop teamwork and discipline, and strengthen peaceful coexistence among students from different backgrounds.

Dr. Yahaya further expressed confidence that the Governor Ododo All Campus Games would contribute to the discovery and development of sporting talents capable of representing Kogi State and Nigeria at higher levels.

He assured the organising committee of his support for the success of the 2026 edition and encouraged students to take advantage of the platform to showcase their abilities while promoting sportsmanship and unity.

Earlier, members of the organising committee briefed the Rector on the objectives and preparations for the games, stressing that the event was designed as an inter-tertiary sporting festival to engage students positively and provide a platform for talent identification and development.

The Governor Ododo All Campus Games 2026 is expected to bring together students from participating tertiary institutions across Kogi State in a celebration of sports, youth engagement, friendship and peaceful coexistence.
