NMA lauds Kogi government for ensuring safe environment for health professionals

The Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) in Kogi state has lauded the effort of the Governor Bello led administration in ensuring a safe environment for health professionals through its robust and efficient security architecture.

Speaking during a courtesy call on the state governor, the kogi NMA delegation led by its chairman Dr. Abubakar Hassan pointed out that professionals are more at the risk of kidnappers and other criminal attacks.

The NMA state chairman praised the efforts of the Governor Bello’s administration in not just promptly reacting to security situations but by being proactive to make sure criminal attacks and activities are prevented.

Dr. Hassan also commended the state government on the recent renaissance in the health sector, noting that the administration has made huge investment in health Infrastructures including the upgraded state Specialist Hospital, the Kogi State University Teaching Hospital and the constructed 300 bed space Reference Hospital Okene amongst many others.

In his remarks governor who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Pharmacist Abdulkareem Mohammad Jamiu reiterated that security remained at the forefront of government’s continued effort to ensure a safer Kogi state for professionals and all its citizens.

He further assured NMA and by extension citizenry that government would continue continue to dedicate all efforts and resources necessary to strengthen the security of the state.

While appreciating the team for the cordial relationship the association has maintained with the state government, he promised that same gesture would be sustained.
