Nigerian Youths Commend Yahaya Bello, Recommend Him for National Assignment

… Confer on him the title of Grand Commander of Nigeria Youths.

The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), has urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to consider Yahaya Bello for higher national responsibility in his administration as Bello completes his tenure as governor of Kogi State on January 27th this year. The council said the governor who is a committed APC stakeholder has displayed unalloyed loyalty to the party and commitment to national development and cohesion.

The NYCN serves as the umbrella body representing youth groups across all thirty-six states and the Federal Capital Territory, encompassing voluntary youth organizations, uniform youth organizations, faith-based youth organisations and community-based youth organisations.

The National Executive Committee of NYCN made this known at a World Press Conference on the State of the Nation held on Friday January 26th, 2024 in Lokoja, Kogi State.

The Council in its statement read by the National Publicity Secretary, Comr. Dotun Omoleye, also conferred on the governor Yahaya Bello, the title of “Grand Commander of Nigeria Youths (GCNY)”, in appreciation of his youth inclusion in governance as well as support and advocacy for the Nigerian youths.

Comr. Omoleye said Governor Bello’s accomplishments in youth development and advancement particularly through investment in education and welfare of youths during his eight-year tenure as governor.

“We have observed with great interest the unwavering commitment and significant accomplishments of His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Bello in the realm of youth development and advancement, particularly through investments in education and welfare during his eight-year term as governor. Such laudable efforts warrant commendation and recognition, which is why we have conferred upon him the title of “GRAND COMMANDER OF NIGERIAN YOUTHS (GCNY).” We extend our best wishes to him as he continues his journey in life,” Omoleye said.

The NYCN equally appreciated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for his unwavering dedication to combating corruption and his resolve to instill transparency and accountability in governance.

This is just as the Council endorsed the “One Youth, Two Skills” project initiated by the Federal Ministry of Youth Development.

“We extend our admiration and support to the President and Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for his unwavering dedication in combating corruption and his resolve to instill transparency and accountability in governance.

“We express our gratitude to President Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR for appointing two young individuals with exceptional track records as Youth ministers – an unprecedented milestone since the advent of democracy in 1999.

“We commend the exemplary leadership of the Federal Ministry of Youth Development, led by Dr. Jamila Bio Ibrahim and Comrade Ayodele Olawande, for their multitude of youth programs and initiatives aimed at empowering and improving the lives of Nigeria’s young population. Additionally,
