Jagaban Grassroots Movement Says Ododo Will Deliver Kogi for Tinubu

The Jagaban Grassroots Movement has backed the appointment of Kogi State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo as Deputy Director in charge of Finance of the Presidential Campaign Council, saying his role will strengthen the campaign for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Kogi State.

The group also congratulated Ododo on his designation as Kogi State Coordinator of the campaign, describing the appointments as recognition of his organisational capacity and leadership within the ruling party.

In a statement issued by its Coordinator, Hon. Samuel Obasun, the group said the governor’s dual campaign responsibilities would energise party members and supporters across the state ahead of the January presidential election.

Obasun said Ododo had maintained what he described as peace, discipline and unity within the party in Kogi, adding that the political structure under his leadership was positioned to mobilise voters for Tinubu.

“The appointment of Governor Ododo as Deputy Director in charge of Finance of the Presidential Campaign Council is well deserved. His appointment as the Kogi State Coordinator of the campaign will further spur all the Ododo foot soldiers to work harder and deliver Kogi State to Mr President,” Obasun said.

He added that Ododo had “ensured that our party remains peaceful, disciplined and focused”, while building a structure capable of mobilising support for the President.

According to Obasun, projects and interventions attributed to the support of the Tinubu administration, alongside initiatives undertaken by the Ododo administration, had demonstrated what he described as the benefits of cooperation between the Federal and Kogi State governments.

He specifically cited infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture and security as areas where he said the impact of the administrations would influence voters.

The group said members of the Jagaban Grassroots Movement and other supporters of the President in Kogi State would work with Ododo and the campaign structure to mobilise support for Tinubu.

Obasun expressed confidence that Kogi State would reciprocate what he described as the President’s support for the state with a strong electoral mandate, saying Ododo would lead the campaign to victory.
