Ofu APC Mobilises Support for Tinubu, Ododo, Others Ahead of 2027

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ofu Local Government Area of Kogi State has commenced its mobilisation for the 2027 elections with a solidarity road walk in Ejule, reaffirming support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and other party candidates.

The procession, held on Thursday, also expressed support for the APC Kogi East senatorial candidate, Chief Ameh Joseph Erico; the party’s candidate for Idah Federal Constituency, Hon. Victor Uchola; Ofu State House of Assembly candidate, Hon. Isah Umaru; and Igalogba State House of Assembly candidate, Rt. Hon. Idris Omojo Mariam.

The mobilisation was led by the Director-General of Kogi State Community Watch and Ancillary Matters, Hon. Muhammed Nasiru Alfa; the Executive Chairman of Ofu LGA, Hon. Mohammed Lawal Musa; the Ofu Divisional APC Chairman, Hon. Salifu Wada; ward executives and other party leaders.

The procession attracted party members, youths, women and supporters from across the local government, who chanted solidarity songs and displayed placards in support of the APC and its candidates.

Speaking after the road walk, Lawal Musa said the exercise was organised to assess the party’s mobilisation capacity in the local government.

He said the outcome demonstrated the readiness of the APC in Ofu to support and work for the success of its candidates in the 2027 elections.

“We decided to test our capacity by doing the procession,” Musa said, assuring that Ofu was ready to deliver all APC candidates at the 2027 general elections.

Also speaking, the Ofu Divisional APC Chairman, Salifu Wada, said the party would intensify its efforts ahead of the elections.

He said, “In the next year general elections, no stone will be left unturned,” adding that the party was more prepared than ever to contest and win at the polls.

The road walk is part of the party’s mobilisation activities in Ofu ahead of the 2027 general and House of Assembly elections.
