Olamaboro Chairman Marks Birthday with Acts of Community Service as Religious Leaders Pray for Gov Ododo

In a remarkable demonstration of compassion and dedication to community welfare and service to his boss, governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Caretaker Chairman of Olamaboro Local Government, Comrade Ameh Williams has embarked on a meaningful journey to spread joy and support throughout the local government prior his birthday.

A significant part of the activities this far was the gathering of more than 10 Islamic Clerics offering prayers for the Governor, as they wished the Chairman a happy Birthday.

Accompanied by a committed team, Comrade Williams started his birthday celebration activities on Saturday by initiating a series of visits to various healthcare facilities and the Ankpa Local Government Area Correctional Centre, where he extended kindness and assistance to those in need.

At General Hospital Okpo, Iko-ojo Clinic, and El-Shaddai Maternity, Comrade Williams and his team provided financial aid to individuals undergoing medical treatment, accompanied by heartfelt prayers for their swift recovery. The genuine compassion shown by the Chairman and his team deeply touched the patients and their families, offering solace during their challenging times.

However, the philanthropic efforts extended beyond healthcare institutions. Comrade Williams also extended his birthday celebrations to the inmates at the Nigerian Prison Service facility in Ankpa LGA. Joined by esteemed dignitaries including SLG Comr Ademu Adojah Yahaya, COS Hon Alih Yusuf, and others, Comrade Williams engaged with the inmates, imparting a message of hope and empowerment.

During his address, Comrade Williams emphasized the significance of rehabilitation and the fair administration of justice, underscoring the benefits of the Criminal Justice Act of 2017. He stressed the importance of collaboration between the government and correctional facilities to implement programs aimed at equipping inmates with skills and knowledge for successful reintegration into society upon release.

Comrade Williams distributed food items and toiletries to the inmates, encouraging them to strive for personal growth and positive change. He pledged to advocate for their needs and work towards improving their living conditions, fulfilling his duty as charged by His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Executive Governor of Kogi State.

The Controller of the prison expressed gratitude to Comrade Williams and his team for their generosity, acknowledging the positive impact their donations would have on the lives of the inmates. The visit served as a poignant reminder of the power of compassion and solidarity in uplifting communities and fostering a sense of belonging and support for all members, especially those facing challenges within the criminal justice system.

Ending the activities into the night yesterday, religious leaders from across Olamaboro LGA congregated at Comrade Williams’ family house in Agbaduma, Okpo, to offer prayers for governor Ododo for the appointment of Williams, and in appreciation to God for the gift of life and the opportunity to serve the people of Olamaboro LGA.

The Chief Imams from various mosques across the local government, along with political stakeholders, gathered to convey their heartfelt prayers and wishes for Governor Ododo’s well-being and success.

The Chief Imams from across Olamaboro LGA gathered in my family house yesterday evening in Agbaduma to pray for His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo GAUO, Kogi State, Olamaboro LGA, and wish me a happy birthday, they equally broke fast with me.

Those in attendance include Chief Imam Central Mosque Okpo; Chief Imam Central Mosque Ogugu; Chief Imam Central Mosque Imane; Chief Imam Central Mosque Agaliga; Chief Imam Central Mosque Adeh; Chief Imam Central Mosque Etutekpe; Chief Imam Central Mosque Agbaduma; Chief Imam Central Mosque Ibana; Chief Imam Central Mosque OgalaGbo; Chief Imam Central Mosque Ikeje; Chief Imam Central Mosque; APC Chairman of Olamaboro LGA; PDP Chairman ably represented and other stakeholders.

The gathering served as a moment of unity and reflection, emphasizing the importance of faith and communal support in times of celebration and gratitude.

As Comrade Williams commemorates his birthday, he is slated to be in the church today for Thanksgiving and meeting with Christian leaders from the LGA, even as well wishes have taken over Kogi Social Media Space in celebrating the comrade believed to be the most performing local government chairman under the administration of Ododo.
