One Hundred Days of Bold, Responsive, People-Oriented Governance

The Chief of Staff to the Governor of Kogi State, Mr. Ali Bello, has extended warm congratulations to His boss, Alhaji Usman Ododo, on the occasion of marking 100 days in office as governor.

In a statement released today, Mr. Bello praised Governor Ododo’s unwavering commitment and dedication to the betterment of Kogi State since assuming office. He highlighted the strides made by the administration in various sectors, including security, infrastructure, healthcare, education, and agriculture, within the short span of 100 days.

The statement reads; “Your Excellency My Boss and Leader, 100-days might not be enough to hurriedly meet all the expectations of the people, especially given the peculiarities of
our dear state, it is however worthwhile to say that you started on a good note, and should be celebrated and cheered up.

“I wish to, on behalf of my family and the entire staff of my office, heartily congratulate you on the auspicious attainment of your 100 days in office as the Executive Governor of our dear Kogi State.

“When you took over the wheels of leadership and administrative control of Kogi State, on January 27th, 2024, after your resounding victory at the November 11, Gubernatorial election, we had no doubts whatsoever that your exemplary and illustrious performance as the Auditor General for Local Government in the Immediate-past administration will be brought to bear on your new and exciting calling to assume higher responsibility and elevation as the number one citizen, in the service of Kogites and Kogi State.

“Our conviction was unshakable and unwavering and you have proved us right in just 100 days, with your sterling performance not only in the exhibition of political sagacity and brinkmanship but also with the hands-on servant leader carriage and equanimity with which you have managed and promoted the affairs of the State, both at home and at the national level.

“In just 100 days, you have renewed the hope of our Pensioners; you have put smiles of joy on the faces of our Workers and people, against the harsh economic realities being currently experienced nationwide; you have improved security by boosting the morale of security agencies to tackle crimes and criminality; and ensured our youths have a huge sense of belonging, involvement, and participation in the collective management and overall administration of the State.

“Your Consolidation Agenda has been delivered with impartial equality across the three Senatorial zones and has carried every segment along and accommodated all Kogites, especially in the completion of outstanding infrastructural legacy and other befitting projects, which has underscored the truism that Government indeed is a seamless continuum for the betterment of the people.

“In 100 days, your Excellency, you have proven to Kogites that our party the APC did not make a mistake in unanimously electing you as our Governorship candidate and pairing you with our Deputy Governor, Comrade Joel Oyibo Salifu, as the perfect team to run on the joint ticket and deliver victory to our party.

“In 100 days, you have left no one in doubt that you are the best man to take over from our leader Alhaji Yahaya Bello and steer the wheels of leadership and administrative control of the State at a time like this and given the excellent strides which your administration has taken and the promising signs you have exhibited so far, you have instilled great optimism and conviction in the minds of one and all, that kogites and Kogi State will definitely enjoy more dividends of Democracy in the days, weeks, months and years ahead.

“Congratulations Your Excellency on your 100 days in office. You have made us proud and we can confidently beat our chest and proclaim in a very loud and joyous chorus, that better and more satisfying days are indeed coming for Kogi State. Be assured of our continued loyalty and support from my office and the entire government machinery.
