One Year After, and Your Legacy Lives On – Youth Activist, Comr. Blessing Ele, Pens to Former Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello
It’s been a year since you handed over the reins of leadership to the one you believed in, stood by and trusted against all odds. I am proud to tell you the Flower is blooming beautifully, providing shade, sustenance, and hope. And yes, he has surpassed expectations.
Expectations so profound that even the the ones who didn’t see the vision are beginning to believe. To believe in a Kogi State that stands tall, shoulder to shoulder with the best.
Because of your vision, we now walk taller. Our children are receiving quality and affordable education, matching global standards. Our retirees are collecting their pensions promptly. Salaries are paid in full and on time. Infrastructure is expanding. Civil servants enjoy better welfare. Peace reigns, and with it, a vibrant agricultural economy and a surge in business opportunities.
With opportunities in entrepreneurship, empowerment, skill acquisition, youth and women political participation, our youth are becoming increasingly progressive. Health systems, too, are advancing, with improved facilities, low to free health insurance and accessible services that are saving lives.
Kogi State is indeed in safe hands, and we are eternally grateful to you for your foresight, the very foundation you laid.
You were a leader who cared less about explanations and more about results. Action and productivity were your hallmarks, and they are yielding an outcome that is widely recognized and deeply appreciated today. Perhaps if you had spoken more, many would have understood better. But then again, why talk when you can work?
And like you, your successor, the people’s Chief Servant, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, is working rather than talking. The results are evident for all to see. Leaders and followers alike, from across every divide now acknowledge the wisdom of your choice.
Today, the Confluence State stood proudly united, celebrating in one accord, for a wonderful one year! The rare kind of camaraderie that many would give anything to achieve.
Kogi might as well be Nigeria’s Wakanda, without the wahala.
Thank you, Your Excellency, for the gift of Ododo. We are proud of this choice and grateful that it stood, in spite of all.
Your Excellency, your legacy remains fresh, and your impact, enduring.
God bless you.
God bless, the Chief Servant.
God bless the people and God bless Kogi State.
