Only APC, Gov Bello can guarantee power shift – Engr. Bashir Gegu Appeals to Lokoja Kogi Forum

The Kogi State Commissioner For Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engr. Bashiru Gegu, has described the call by
Lokoja Kogi Forum demanding for Governorship as a good call but urged them throw in their support for Gov. Yahaya Bello’s administration, pointing out that the APC will guarantee power shift to Kogi West and by extension to Lokoja Koto Federal Constituency.

Engr. Bashiru in a statement said the move by Lokoja Kogi Forum is good but called on all hands to be on deck to support Gov. Bello’s administration because he has done well for Kogi and Lokoja LGAs.

The Commissioner pointed out that the new look of the state capital is commendable, said the Governor deserves to be supported, assured that only the APC and with the sincerity shown by Gov. Bello, he would shift power.

According to Engr Bashiru, ” It is Gov. Yahaya Bello who ends Godfatherism and showed love to the poor. If he can listen to the downtrodden, he will listen to Lokoja Koto quest for Governorship. Only APC under GYB leadership can shift the power to Lokoja Kogi LGA’s.
” Our votes in 2023 general elections will guarantee shift of power by 2024 to Lokoja Koto”.
” It’s critical we demand for equity fairness and justice but its also important we show capacity, commitment and Loyalty”.

” I commend the effort of the forum for the Kogi leadership quest but let’s work in a right direction to achieve our aim”.

” We have worked with PDP for 16 years and there was no sign of relinquishing power to any other part of the state, even when our brother Hon Musa Ahmadu, Former SSG was tipped by most Kogites to succeed the then Governor Ibrahim Idris, PDP and the Power that be then instead gave it to Capt Idris Wada”.

” Same PDP denied our brother Isa Kutepa who came closer to Jibrin Isa Echocho during PDP primary but later substituted Echocho by Capt Idris Wada. Therefore, the APC remains the only party that can shift power to Lokoja Koto”, Engr. Bashiru Gegu explained.
